* Sunrise Lake Swimming at the beach is extra - $16 for adults (16-64) , $14 per child (5—15) and under 5 is free.  If you purchase in advance online, its $14 for adults and for kids

Also you can go paddleboating - a 2 person paddleboat is $5 per 30 minutes and a 4 person is $10 per 30 minutes—you can go to this separate, without the per person swimming fee. They also have stand up paddleboats @ $10 for 30 minutes, minimum age of 14

** Fruit Picking— 2 OPTIONS - PEACHES  OR BLUBERRIES AT DIFFERENT LOCATIONS

 

Peaches at the Wightman Farm, a 10 minute drive away. You need your own transportation to get there. According to the farm  peaches and nectarines  will still be in season.  All of the costs of Fruit Picking is extra.

 

Cost - $10 admission + $4 to $5 per lb for peaches/nectarines, depending on variety

 

Stony Hills Farms - Blueberries—15 min drive west of park  - you can pick blueberries, check the website for costs and details, you need your own  transportation -

 

*** Foster Fields Historical Living Farm is extra— 7 minute drive from park—$5  per person, children under 3 are free.

 

You may cancel until SUNDAY, AUGUST 3, 2025. Afterwards, you may either substitute a friend for your spot, upon our approval.

Game plan:

 

A) Visit Lewis Morris County Park, a great location near Morristown, NJ

B) Choose a variety of things  like  a nature walk,  volleyball, hiking, etc. (including nothing at all but hanging out) ( all included in the event price)

C) At additional cost you can do one of the following -

 

    ● Sunrise Lake Beach With Swimming/Paddle boating  - 2 minute drive within       Lewis Morris park, open til 6 pm,  here are the details and rates - 

 

      ● Fruit Picking**  -  Whitman Farms - 10 min drive south, outside the park - you can     pick Peaches and Nectarines just now in season - $10 admission fee plus $3.29 per lb       of fruit—open til 4:30 PM— click for more details

 

     ● Stony Hills Farms - Blueberries—15 min drive west of park  - you can pick       blueberries, check the website for costs and details

 

      ● Fosterfields Living Historical Farm - 7 min drive, outside the park - this is an       interpretive working farm run by Morris County - with individuals in period costume.       You can also see  goats, chickens, cows, sheep, pigs, ducks, geese and turkeys - chicken       feeing every hour between 11 and 3, and cow milking aprox at 2:30  - last admission at       3pm, open till 4. $5 per person, free for kids 3 and under

 

We will try to arrange rides for those without a car to these offsite locations, depending on interest and space

 

D) after the nature walk at your option you can visit Jockey Hollow, adjacent to Lewis Morris, with a self guided walking and hiking tour with interpretive signs and some historic houses and remnants of encampments—this is a famous revolutionary war site where the entire Continental Army spent its time during the coldest winter of the war.

 

E) End the day with both groups at a 4:30 PM kosher catered dinner for all (carnivores, omnivores and vegetarians), with volleyball and other activities

Weather and Rain Policy

 

We will update this page and those who attend regarding the weather but we have never had to cancel this event for weather yet.

 

We intend the hold the event unless steady rain will occur over the course of the entire day. No refunds unless the event is canceled due to rain.

 

 

ADVANCE PAYMENT REQUIREMENT TO RSVP:

 

In order to complete your reservation, you must pay for the event in advance either  via check (postmarked by the deadline) or via paypal by the deadline at the top of this page. Failure to pay may result in your being unable to attend the event.

When you complete the  RSVP form at the bottom of this page by selecting your activities, you will be directed to a paypal page and will be asked to log in and pay at PayPal’s site. Once  you complete the RSVP form and pay via paypal, you will be considered fully registered. NO REFUNDS AFTER  TUESDAY July 14, 2026

 

PRICING

 

Payment in advance is required, however if you make changes to your RSVP like adding friends/family the balance of any monies you might owe is due at the event. Please bring cash or checks (preferable)  made out to “Davetrek LLC”. When you arrive you will need to go through registration complete any payments for the event.

 

 Time of registration – calculated from when we receive your reservation on the RSVP Form.
