DAVETREK ADVENTURES

Here is the plan:

 

A) Go to a nice area in Morris County NJ, about 70 minutes from NYC, which is full of activities in the area and we usually get a balanced mix of singles, couples, families and kids,

B) Choose one of two options

 

   (i) Either Go Blueberry & Peach picking, take a self guided tour of historic chester, and go on a guided tour of a 200 year old grist mill ,

   (ii) Or Go on a 5 + mile hike that partially follows a beautiful stream visiting an exotic natural gorge and go on a tour of a 200 year old Grist Mill 

 

C) End the day with both groups at a 4:30 PM kosher catered dinner for all (carnivores, omnivores and vegetarians), with volleyball and other activities

Here are some of the activities available:

 

** Hiking (5 to 6.5 miles, intermediate and partially along a beautiful stream)       

 

** Fruit Picking at Alstede Farm - Peaches are starting to peak and Blueberries  are at the end of the season—we might also be able to pick some vegetables as well!!  All of the costs of fruit picking are extra  - You must pay for admission at Alsted Farms and in addition to paying admission, you will also have to pay  for the fruit that you pick at  Allstede.

 

** Tour the historic Cooper Grist Mill and learn how grains are milled and ground!

 

** Kosher BBQ for All, carnivores, omnivores  and vegetarians - Catered BBQ under the Vaad of Flatbush

 

**  Self Guided Tour of Historic Chester - Chester, a historic 200 hundred year old town a few miles away. In town, there are some nice shops and historic buildings to see...see the town’s website for more details

 

** Volleyball, Soccer and Frisbee  and stomp rockets that go as high as 200 ft for kids and adults

Weather and Rain Policy

 

We will update this page and those who attend regarding the weather but we have never had to cancel this event for weather yet.

 

We intend the hold the event unless steady rain will occur over the course of the entire day. No refunds unless the event is canceled due to rain.

 

 

ADVANCE PAYMENT REQUIREMENT TO RSVP:

 

In order to complete your reservation, you must pay for the event in advance either  via check (postmarked by the deadline) or via paypal by the deadline at the top of this page. Failure to pay may result in your being unable to attend the event.

In order to complete your registration, you need to have your payment postmarked no later than Tuesday,  July 2, 2018.  Failure to do so may mean you will not be able to attend the event. Also, if you wish to get the early bird price, you must send payment no later than WEDNESDAY, June 26. You may ask for a refund until Wednesday, June 27. If you need to cancel after that, you must find someone to sell your spot to who is able to get themselves to the event. NO REFUNDS AFTER WEDNESDAY JUNE 26

When you complete the  RSVP form at the bottom of this page by selecting your activities, you will be directed to a paypal page and will be asked to log in and pay at PayPal’s site. Once  you complete the RSVP form and pay via paypal, you will be considered fully registered.

 

PRICING

 

The balance of any monies you might owe is due at the event. Please bring cash or checks (preferable)  made out to “Davetrek LLC”. When you arrive you will need to go through registration complete any payments for the event.
