Last Taste of Summer Swim/Hike/Kayak/Dinner & Campfire at Swartswood Lake State Park!! Sunday, September 3, 2023 In Newton, NJ RSVP Form and Pricing at the Bottom INITIAL RUSH DEADLINE NOON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 30 EARLY BIRD DEADLINE Midnight THURSDAY, AUGUST 31 EVENT RSVP DEADLINE Midnight SATURDAY, September 2 Spend the day at Swartswood Lake State Park, with hiking, boating, relaxing and dinner, then end the day with a campfire! Swartswood Lake: 75 minutes from Manhattan - one of the prettiest lakes in the NY area and the 3rd largest lake in NJ. Hikes: Longer for adults - 3 to 4 hrs, 4 + miles Shorter for everyone - 1+ hr , 1.5 to 2 miles — this can be combined with the boating Kayaking*: Boat on a 500 acre glacial lake - this can be combined with the short hike . For kayaking children must be at least 12 to have their own kayak. Limited number of boats available, there is also potentially a double kayak option available. Let us know your interest on the form. *Kayaking is at additional cost, offered directly by the park $15 per hour for a kayak and $20 per hour for a double kayak Swimming/Beach: Swim or just relax at at a lovely beach or under the shade on our portable air couch as you take in the last breaths of summer Dinner: We will end the day events with a kosher Chinese buffet dinner with a variety of choices for meat eaters and vegetarians, from Tokyo Hibatchi, under the Vaad Harabonim of MetroWest, located in Springfield NJ. Campfire: Marshmallows, Smores, Glow Sticks, music and stories! This will run till about 8ish… Camping: If you have your own transportation, have all your own equipment and food and wish to camp out on Sunday night, select the option on the form and I will be in touch about details—you need to supply everything you need and leave by noon the next day, but you can camp for free at the site if there is space available…. + Frisbee, Soccer, Kites, Stomp Rockets & more... Tentative Schedule* 12:00 Arrival/Sign in 12:30 - 4:00 Longer Hike 12:30 - 4:00 Kayaking* ( at additional cost) 1:30 Shorter Hike 4:30/5:00 Dinner followed by Mincha 6:30 Campfire till ??? *Subject to change For more details, directions and FAQs, visit our Details and FAQ Page PRICING The balance of any monies you might owe is due at the event. When you arrive you will need to go through registration in order to complete any payments for the event. Time of registration – calculated from when we receive your reservation on the RSVP Form. ADVANCE PAYMENT REQUIREMENT TO RSVP: In order to complete your reservation, you must pay for the event in advance either via check (postmarked by the deadline) or via paypal by the deadline at the top of this page. Failure to pay may result in your being unable to attend the event. PAYMENT METHODS - CHECK OR PAYPAL You may pay in one of two ways, via check or via paypal. Via Check: There will instructions on the form below, once selected. In order to complete your registration, you need to have your payment postmarked no later than THURSDAY, AUGUST 31st, 2023. Failure to do so may mean you will not be able to attend the event. Via Paypal When you complete the RSVP form below by selecting your activities, you will be directed to a paypal page and will be asked to log in and pay at PayPal’s site. Once you complete the RSVP form and pay via paypal, you will be considered fully registered. COSTS We require payment in advance, either via check or via paypal. Any balance of any monies you owe is due at the event. Please bring cash or checks (preferable) made out to “David Davetrek LLC”. When you arrive you will need to go through registration and complete any payments for the event. Time of registration – calculated from when we receive your reservation on the RSVP Form. You may cancel until Wednesday 8/30. Afterwards, you may either substitute a friend for your spot, upon our approval. NO refunds or credits after Wednesday 8/30/23.
